Help Push JASTA’s Passage in the House

The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) makes it impossible for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or any other entity, to claim that as a sovereign it is immune from any legal responsibility for its role in the 2001 terror attacks.  This legislation is imperative in the efforts to finally see justice for the 9/11 victims.  Led by Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and their staff, JASTA was passed by the U.S. Senate unanimously on May 17, 2016.

The passage of JASTA is currently pending in the House of Representatives for consideration.  We ask the one hundred thousand 9/11 victims and their family members for their assistance in pushing for JASTA’s passage in the house.  To support JASTA, it is essential that each person do the following:

1. Contact (in person, by phone, email, or mail) your incoming Congress man or woman (the person elected to start in January) and urge him or her to pass JASTA immediately in the new Congress.  You can find the contacts here Please visit the JASTA website for details, phone numbers, and suggested language, plus current news and progress JASTA is making.

2. Encourage each family member (parent, siblings, children, cousins, nieces/nephews, or grandparent/grandchild) to contact their Congress men and women and urge the passage of JASTA.  Each of you should state that no one (country, entity, or person) should have immunity for providing the material support al-Qaeda needed to mount the 9/11 attacks.  We believe that all countries, persons or organizations who supported al-Qaeda should be held responsible.

Thank you for your time and consideration in helping us with JASTA.  “Not every terrorist kills for money, but money is needed for terrorists to kill.” – Terry Strada, National Chair, 9/11 Families & Survivors United for Justice Against Terrorism
