A Message from Edie Lutnick, President of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund
“We have been honored to assist the families of our beloved employees who perished in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. From the first day that the Relief Fund was created, it was clear to me that we needed to create a model that would not only help support the grieving families, but also provide aid for their everyday needs. Our model for providing direct financial aid to those in need has become the foundation of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.
The lessons we learned from helping the Cantor families have been engrained as the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund has expanded its reach. We learned in the months following 9/11 that no two victims of tragedy are the same, and subsequently their needs are unique. We provide direct, immediate financial assistance to victims of tragedy, natural disaster and terrorism without judgment or questions.
We will continue to listen to those in need, and deliver direct financial aid in honor of our loved ones. If we can learn from the tragedy of 9/11 and convey to the world the message of change and resilience, that is a beautiful thing.”
