The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund was established on September 14, 2001 as a result of the tragedy at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund expanded mission is a 501(c) 3, not for profit charity. The goal of the fund is to provide direct assistance to those who lost loved ones in the tragedy. The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund takes nothing in admistrative expenses, so that 100% of all donations received go directly to the victim's families.
Since its establishment, Cantor Fitzgerald and the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund have raised approximately $250 million dollars in financial support for the families and loved ones of the 658 victims from Cantor Fitzgerald as well as the families of victims from 11 other companies. In addition the Relief Funds assist Natural Disasters and Emergencies.
